JCB Fork Lifts and Telehandlers for Any Application
Whether you need to lift pallets or carry heavy machinery, the new and pre-owned sturdy machines in this category can serve as ideal solutions for your lifting needs. Read on to learn all about the versatile JCB forklift and telehandler options. You can find many of these machines listed on eBay at reasonable prices.
What's the difference between a forklift and a telehandler? The forklifts in this category are separated into two main categories. Each of these types of forklifts has special benefits, but it may turn out that only one is right for your particular application.
- Forklifts: Normal forklift trucks are commonly found in warehouses across the country. They are about the size of small tractors, and they have attachments on their fronts that have forks. These forks can be lifted high up in the air to grab or deposit pallets or other large items.
- Telehandlers: Telehandlers, on the other hand, are much bigger than normal forklifts. They have crane-like attachments that connect to their backsides, and these attachments have forks at their ends. Telehandler arms can be extended to reach items that are high up or out of the way, and they are mainly used in outdoor applications and rough terrains.
While most forklifts are designed to be used on flat surfaces, rough terrain forklifts can be used on grass, gravel, or loose dirt. These types of forklifts are typified by their large, aggressive tires, and they are commonly used in construction sites or to deposit pallets of goods in non-paved areas.
How do you pick the right forklift? The first step is to determine whether you want a traditional forklift or a telehandler. While telehandlers are more versatile, they're too big to fit in most warehouses, and they are also harder to transport. From there, you'll need to select from among the various models that JCB offers. Your JCB dealer can provide you both normal forklifts and telehandlers for either rough or even terrain, and the different models in this category have different height and weight capacities. In addition, some models have more robust engines than others, and certain special types of traditional forklifts can reach nearly as high as telehandlers. When it comes to color options, you have yellow and green models to choose from.
