Are adidas Nastase casual men’s sneakers?

While owning a sporty vibe, these leather sneakers are more often used as casual men’s shoes. Designed for the International Tennis Hall of Famer, Ilie Nastase, the adidas Nastase shoe made the name “adidas” synonymous with tennis. They possess the signature stripes that adidas shoes are known for and a smooth leather upper. Designed to grip the court while allowing for a quick transition, these adidas tennis shoes are stylish both on and off the courts.

What colorways are available?

Original adidas Nastase sneakers, are more limited in color options. Most often, these vintage shoes are available in white uppers with the 3-stripes in a different color like blue. On the other hand, the rereleased Nastase sneakers offer a little more variety in colors, including the multicolored model that is black, yellow, red, orange, blue, and green with yellow laces. You can also find more subtle colorways like white with blue 3-stripes.

What are some features of these sneakers?

The original Nastase shoes were made of canvas with leather detailing and a round toe. The adidas trefoil and “Nastase” are printed on the heel collar, and the tongue includes a signature and picture screen-printed on it. The soles were flat with horizontal gripping and lace-up closure. The rerelease version looks very similar to the original, but the toe is a bit more squared off. The entire shoe is now made of leather, and the trefoil and “Nastase” remain on the heel collar. The tongue offers the same photo and signature embroidered on fabric. The straight-line gripping is replaced with a wave pattern.
